As a kid from a mixed-use Protestant/Hindu family. I went to Mass a couple of times in the 1950s with Catholic relatives. It was so easy, like going to an opera. I was in the audience watching people saying and doing things I didn't understand and when it was over everyone was happy and we went home. By the 1960s, I lost interest in all churches and never went to a modern interactive English language Mass.
